Keep Your Money Close When you spend money with a locally owned business, more of your money stays in the community rather than going to a national corporation chain somewhere else.
Get Unique Finds Local businesses and artisans sell unique products. Why be cookie-cutter when you can be original?
Bolster Local Economy By staying local you’re helping to create jobs for teachers, firemen, police, shop keepers, etc. These are your friends and neighbors and they will donate to community causes far more than national chains.
Ask an Expert Your local business owners have a vested interest in keeping you happy and knowing what you’re looking for. They’ll be more willing to serve you and are passionate about what they do.
These are certainly interesting times we’re living. If you can’t get to stores or are sheltering in place, consider online ordering or purchasing gift certificates for later use. Small businesses need your help. Imagine the landscape of your community with only national chains and big box stores. Communities thrive on diversity and uniqueness. Now is the time to invest in your neighborhood.
